Health insurance does not rebate out-of-hospital consultations. However a Medicare rebate does apply (you must have a valid referral), that can be submitted online directly to Medicare for you on the day of the consultation.
Yes Mr Ling is able to see uninsured patients. A consultation fee applies as usual.
Uninsured patients can be offered a place on the waiting list at The Royal Melbourne Hospital.
